Black and white delight
When you crave for something sweet, but easily done, this is the answer. Moist and light, little drunk with rum. You could eat whole cake alone (seriously, try to control yourself :) )
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 pack vanilla sugar (10 g)
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 tbsp milk
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp wheat grits (semolina)
- 1/2 pack baking powder (6 gr)
- 1 tbsp bitter cocoa
- 2 dcl heavy cream
- 40 gr dark chocolate
- 40 gr white chocolate
For milk dressing:
- 250 ml milk
- 1 or 2 tbsp rum
- 5 tbsp sugar
- drop of oil and pinch of flour to sprinkle your cake pan
Preheat oven to 200 C.
Beat egg with both sugars for 2 minutes. Add oil and milk while mixing in between.
In another bowl put flour, semolina, baking powder and cocoa and stir well.
Add one half in the egg mixture, mix a little, then add another half and mix everything for 5 minutes.
Brush your pan (use small sized pan, about 30×30 cm). Sprinkle with flour and put the mixture in.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Put milk and sugar in the bowl and bring it to the boil. Turn off the heat and add 1 or 2 tbsp rum.
When the cake is done let it cool for 10 minutes. Pour dressing on the cake and let it cool completely.
Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Spread it on the cake. Grate both chocolates and sprinkle over the cake.
