Chicken legs with prunes
Very easy, quick and delicious recipe. What more could you want?
Plums give lightly sweet touch to the meal. Serve with rice to enrich your taste.
- 13 little chicken legs
- 10 prunes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp parsley
- 2 pinches salt
- little pepper
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 15 rosemary leaves
Heat oil. Chop onion in blender and put it in a pot, stir occasionally for about 10 minutes until onion becomes soft and lightly brown. Add washed chicken legs. Stir them so they catch the colour on both sides. Add garlic and parsley. Chop rosemary leaves and add to the chicken. Add salt, pepper and tomato puree.
Stir everything well, add just enough warm water to cover half of the meat.
Cover and simmer at low temperature for 20 minutes. You can shake the pot every now and then to avoid meat sticking on the bottom. After first 20 minutes add washed prunes (without pits) and continue cooking for next 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat, and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
